Angus Askew
Director
Whilst no longer transactional day to day, Angus’ focus is on strategic growth across the group heading up sales. His focus is on building long‑term relationships based on trust, transparency, and thoughtful conversation that evolves as Magnolia Lane’s clients’ lives and businesses grow.
Angus enjoys working closely with new and existing referral partners, financiers and strategic stakeholders, taking the time to understand their story, goals and what really matters to them most – but more importantly, how Magnolia Lane can add value to their business.
Angus holds a diploma in Financial Services (Mortgage & Finance Broking) and is a member of the Commercial Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia (CAFBA).
Outside of work, Angus enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, travelling, watching cricket/rugby/golf and rolling his sleeves up at the farm in Oberon!
Leadership Team
With more than 20 years’ experience in the equipment and asset finance industry, Andrew began his career as a finance broker before transitioning into business leadership. His deep grounding in client advisory and commercial finance informs a practical, growth‑led approach to strategy and decision making.
Today, Andrew works predominantly on the business rather than in it, with a focus on expansion into new areas, supporting acquisitions, strengthening Magnolia Lane’s brand presence, and building the people, culture and leadership capability required to scale a high‑performing organisation.
Raised on a sheep and grain property in Narrandera in NSW’s Riverina district, Andrew developed an early appreciation for the realities of running a business and the importance of long‑term relationships — principles that continue to underpin his leadership style.
In late 2022, Andrew relocated to Melbourne to support Magnolia Lane’s growth across the southern states, including Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia.
Andrew holds a Diploma in Financial Services (Mortgage & Finance Broking) and is a member of the Commercial Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia (CAFBA).
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys travel, sport, and spending time with family and friends — ideally combining all three.
